Hi my name is Lorne Schmidt, and I am in my second year of the teacher education program. This is sure an unpredictable time we are living in and school is no exception to that. It has been an exciting journey so far! I enjoy biking and playing tennis in the summer and in the winter I do ice curling and hockey. This past summer I got married in the midst of Co-Vid19 (#Covid20 wedding). I love working with kids and love the excitement they bring to life! I think teaching is an awesome career and I can’t wait to begin that journey after completing this last year of my degree. I look forward to being a role model to my students and to building into their lives. I look forward to learning something new every day. Teaching is a job, I’ve been told, where you never stop learning and this is exciting for me. I can hardly wait for what chapters lay unread for me as a teacher!
